Zaamin is a mountain area in the Jizzakh region and one of Uzbekistan’s best-known national parks, famous for its juniper forest, high meadows and cool air.
It is further from Tashkent than Chimgan, so most tours include one or two nights. Day trips exist, but they mean an early start and a late return.
In summer people go to escape the heat of Tashkent — the mountains are noticeably cooler. In winter there are trips for the snow and for the New Year holidays.
