Open in mapsAbout This Tour
🕳 Peshagor is one of the largest caves in Uzbekistan, in the Zaamin district of Jizzakh province, in the Malguzar mountains.
The main hall is about 10 metres wide and more than 250 metres long, and beyond it a labyrinth of underground passages begins. The cave is known for prehistoric finds: its halls held more than fifty people and sheltered them from predators.
What to expect:
• An easy hike to the cave through a mountain gorge
• The halls of Peshagor in complete darkness
• Spring-fed lakes between the village and the gorge
• A photo session
📛 The village name Peshagor means "the threshold" — the way into the cave. Beside it lies the grave of Mawlana Muhammad Peshagoriy, a sheikh of the Naqshbandi order.
🔦 Bring a torch — a phone will do. It is dark inside.
🥟 We stop for Jizzakh samsa on the way — at your own expense, if you want it.
❌ The tour is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled: bookings cannot be cancelled or moved.
