About This Tour

🏛 Khiva is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia and an open-air museum in its own right.

Ichan-Kala on the UNESCO World Heritage list, old palaces, madrasas and minarets — and in the evening, the new Arda-Khiva complex.

⚠️ Important: train tickets and entrance tickets are not included in the tour price. Details below.

What to expect:

• Ichan-Kala — a full tour of the walled museum city

• The Kalta-Minor minaret

• The Muhammad Rahim Khan madrasa

• The Pahlavan Mahmud mausoleum

• The Juma mosque and Kurnysh-khana

• The Ismail Khoja and Sheikh Seyid mausoleums

• Dishan-Kala and the Nurullabay palace

• The Arda-Khiva complex ("Venice") by evening

• Khivan plov and the Khorezm fish speciality

🚆 The tour spans four calendar days and three nights: out on the Friday night train, two days in Khiva, back on the night train early Monday. Two nights are on the train, one in the hotel.

🎫 Train tickets are not part of the price. A sleeper compartment is 897,000 UZS return, an open-plan berth 692,000 UZS. You can buy them from us when you book or yourself at the station — but only for the group's train, so check the date and service with the manager.

🎟 Entrance tickets are not included and are paid on site: 70,000 UZS for residents of Uzbekistan (50% off for pensioners, schoolchildren and students with ID) and 370,000 UZS for non-residents. You can hand the money to the guide in advance to skip the queues.

💰 For a resident travelling in a sleeper compartment, the full cost of the trip comes to about 1,857,000 UZS.

⏰ Train times may move by about thirty minutes either way. Participants are told of any change a few days before departure.

🛂 A passport is required at hotel check-in. Non-residents pay a hotel tourist tax — ask the manager for the amount.
