About This Tour
🎄 New Year 2027 in Samarkand — three days and two nights at the Grand Sogdiana hotel, from 31 December to 2 January.

🚌🚆 You choose how you travel when you book: by bus, on the Sharq train or on the high-speed Afrosiyob. That sets the price, the journey time and the third day's programme.
🗓 Day three: the bus and Sharq tours visit the Konigil paper mill, the Ulugbek observatory, the mausoleum of Daniel and Shah-i-Zinda. The Afrosiyob tour has a food quest in the eastern bazaar and a masterclass in Uzbek cooking.
💰 The price is per person, based on two sharing a room.

📋 Itinerary
DAY 1 — 31 December
Departure from Tashkent
The bus tour leaves at 05:30 and reaches Samarkand at about 11:00. On the Sharq and Afrosiyob trains the times depend on the tickets issued.
A tour of the historic centre
Gur-Emir — the mausoleum of Amir Temur and the Timurids. The Registan — Samarkand's main square with its three madrasahs.

Rest and time to get ready for the evening.

20:00 — The New Year's banquet

The Konigil paper mill — traditional Samarkand handmade paper. The Ulugbek observatory. The mausoleum of Daniel. The Shah-i-Zinda complex.
The Afrosiyob high-speed train tour:
A team food quest in the eastern bazaar — finding the sellers and ingredients from clues, identifying spices by smell and haggling like a local. Then a masterclass in Uzbek cooking at the crafts centre and lunch, tasting what you have made. Free time for a walk and for souvenirs.
