Where to go with children

With children, the drive and the walking decide everything. Here is what suits.

Look at the drive first

With children the deciding factor is time in a car seat. The destinations an hour or two from Tashkent usually work best.

For anything further, prefer the train: children can move around, and the journey tires them far less than a car does.

How much walking

Read the programme on the tour page: anything described as an ascent or trekking may be too much.

Trips to farms, lakes and forests involve little walking and leave time to play. Those are the ones marked as family tours.

What to settle in advance

A child takes a seat too — count them when you choose how many seats to book.

Check whether meals are included; if not, plan to bring your own.

Ask the agency whether there are stops along the way — on a long drive it matters.
