The Charvak reservoir lies in the Tashkent region, between the Chimgan and Bostanlyk mountains. Its closeness to the capital and the view over the water make it a popular day trip.
In summer people come to swim and spend the day by the shore. Spring and autumn suit the mountain paths around it — cooler, and far less busy.
Tours around Charvak often combine it with somewhere else: a waterfall, a cave or a summit.
